Carole has
an MSc inCounselling Psychology and WPF Diploma in Psychodynamic
Counselling.
Carole currently works
independently in private practice and is registered with the British
Psychological Society (BPS), working towards Chartership and is also a member
of the BABCP and BACP professional societies. She also works in the voluntary sector
with a variety of issues from mild depression to complex presentations.
Carole has
over five years experience employed by the NHS as a qualified Psychotherapist
and as a Trainee Counselling Psychologist working with young adults with severe and
enduring mental health difficulties.
Carole’s
therapeutic approach is primarily psychodynamic and that underpins her work
along with Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) interventions. However, her underlying
philosophy is one where she draws upon the most appropriate model for the
individual client’s needs.
She is also able to offer Mindfulness Meditation as
workshop programmes as she draws upon mindfulness as a part of the CBT she
offers in therapy.
Carole sees
clients for a broad range of psychological distress and difficulties and can
offer Psychodynamic, CBT and Integrative psychotherapy both short and
long-term.
